You'll discover a stimulating atmosphere that fosters your professional growth in a clean and safe environment. Reporting to the Supervisor, Packaging, the Packaging Operators will be responsible for the essential operation and troubleshooting of Packaging equipment.

Schedule: Various - must be available for days, nights, and weekends.

Salary: $26.55/hr

There are 2 salary increases in the first year of employment, with a target rate of $29.50/hour.

How you will make contributions that matter:

• Ensures quality and sanitation standards are met by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Quality Assurance, and HACCP
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures to ensure the highest quality product possible
• Ensures the efficient and effective use of equipment and material resources
• Communicates with the Leadhand/Back up Lead hand and Packaging Supervisor to monitor and maximize operational efficiencies
• Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout plant manually or using powered equipment
• Report urgent equipment problems in a timely manner
• Ensures that safe conditions exist always within the work environment; adhere to safe work procedures (rotations, hazard reporting)
• Flexibility to work shifts outside the normal shift when require
• Supports and maintains Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P.’s quality standards;
• Other duties as assigned

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

• Secondary School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
• Experience in food manufacturing or packaging, preferably dairy manufacturing
• Strong mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting abilities
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment quickly and easily
• Ability to function independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated strong documentation and record keeping
• Must be self-motivated, results oriented, possess high degree of initiative and work well under pressure

Responsibilities

• Provide a means of communication directly with the customer in order to develop and supply a component which meets or exceeds the customer requirements.
• Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns.
• Assist Quality Manager in establishing, implementing, and maintain the quality management system.
• Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, kaizen lean methods, etc.
• Interface with Engineering and operations to ensure transfer to Production of new products are in accordance with approved data.
• Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
• Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports, and determine proper corrective and preventive actions.
• Analyze failure, corrective, and preventive actions to respond to customer complaints.
• Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.
• Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the overall activities of receiving/outgoing quality functions.
• Continuously improving QA receiving inspection processes and procedures.
• Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive measure.
• Manger suppliers’ performance and conduct audits.
• Preparation of reports for Quality Assurance.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality or other related discipline is required.
• Three to five years of related experience with experience in quality assurance functions.
• Ability to write quality assurance reports that describe manufacturing problems, corrective actions taken, and preventative measures needed. Proposals are usually written for non-technical audiences such as clients and management.
• Ability to make presentations to management during meetings to provide an overview of areas such as product costing, customer requirements, and product failures which need to be considered when planning for coming year.
• Ability to assess suitability of candidates for specific positions. Review resumes comparing applicants’ experience and training to requirements of position. Evaluate applicants’ responses in job application interviews and interpret information provided by employment and personal references.
• Experience with APQP: Process Control Plans, PFMEA, Gauge Planning, and all levels of PPAP requirements. Read operating and quality reports to understand technical and operational information about facilities, processes and equipment.
• Experience in drawing interpretations and geometric dimensional tolerancing. Knowledge and experience in gauging methods, gauge selection, calibration, and gauge R and R’s. Ability to take precise measurements using specialized equipment and techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and co-ordinate project teams which include other engineers, production, customers, and suppliers when designing, developing and building products or processes.
• Proficient with MS Office and CAD applications. Familiar with ISO/TS16949 quality standards. Experience with the use of statistical analysis software and computer-assisted design, manufacturing and machining.
• Attend formal professional development seminars and conferences as needed. Conduct self directed studies by reading journals and trade publications. Must be aware of new technologies and advances in the engineering field.

Purpose:

Contributes to the overall success of the Real Estate Department in Canada and globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. 

The Buyer will be responsible for the day to day management of issuing Purchasing Orders, including working closing with Bank approved vendors, and internal Real Estate team members.

• Management of contracts, on boarding of vendors, working within the Banks Risk Management and Procurement Guidelines and management of data entry into to COUPA, Smart Buy and ICERTIS Contract Manager (ICM).

• Provide all areas of the Bank (Domestic, International, E.O. departments) with the most efficient, economical methods of purchasing the required materials/services, meeting both Bank and client/ user defined specifications, standards and policies.
• Creating, issuing and evaluating competitive tenders and subsequently awarding/issuing purchase orders/contracts within signing limits. All other business to be referred directly to the Senior Finance Manager Real Estate for authorization.
• Develop and maintain commodity data and information with respect to their assigned responsibilities and the Bank’s requirements.
• Develop and maintain accurate vendor/commodity information records which will provide appropriate documentation of purchase activity.
• Managing and approving vendor catalogues on the procurement platform and ensuring correct information is uploaded by the vendor in terms of product descriptions, pricing and ETA’s.
• Providing an effective, efficient liaison with the accounting department.

• The incumbent must have acquired sufficient environmental knowledge with respect to sustainable development, the three R’s (i.e. Recycling, Reusing and Reducing), waste management and their impacts on purchasing in the Bank and with its vendors, enough to infuse responsible contract terms and conditions consistent with the corporate environmental policy and direction as established by the Senior Finance Manager.

• A degree in computer science, math or engineering related discipline is desirable, along with 3-5 years practical experience.
• Backend Programming skills in Java and ETL tools
• Must have good analytical, problem solving, and trouble shooting skills in order to develop and support systems to meet user requirements.
• Must be creative and flexible in identifying technical solutions to resolve business problems in a rapidly changing, demanding and complex business environment.
• Must have a detailed understanding of the application systems.
• Must have good interpersonal and communication skills
• Nice to have broad understanding and knowledge of the Wealth Management products, services, market trends, computer services, planning and control tools and organized structure
